The Simple List

For those new parents that are totally lost with their baby registry, I created this page (Thanks to the suggestion of a wonderful friend).

This list is the bare basics. There are tons of other things that can be added to the list for the sake of convenience or cuteness; however, with just these things you'll survive comfortably.

For a more indepth list/discussion, then see the Need to Get page on this blog.

Breastfeeding List:
1. Diapers
2. Wipes
3. Oneses (short or long sleeved, depending upon your weather and house temperature)
4. Swaddling Blankets and Hats (sleep times)
5. Carseat
6. Passifiers
7. Pack-in-Play, Bassinet, or Crib (any one of these would work for the first few months, as least)
8. Rectal Thermometer
9. Boppie
10. Burp Clothes (at least 12, unless you like doing laundry every few hours)
11. Bathseat
12. Baby Soap: Suggestion--Dove White Soap (necessary if baby has sensitive skin; for laundry detergent Arm and Hammer makes a mild soap for less--instead of the typical, super expensive "baby formulated" soap)

Bottle Feeding List:
1. Diapers
2. Wipes
3. Oneses (short or long sleeved, depending upon your weather and house temperature)
4. Swaddling Blankets and Hats (sleep times)
5. Carseat
6. Passifiers
7. Pack-in-Play, Bassinet, or Crib (any one of these would work for the first few months, as least)
8. Rectal Thermometer
9. Boppie
10. Burp Clothes (at least 12, unless you like doing laundry every few hours)
11. Breast Pump (if bottling breast milk; if not, then omit)
12. Bottles (at least 6, unless you don't mind doing the dishes every few hours too)
13. Formula
14. Bathseat
15. Baby Soap: Suggestion--Dove White Soap (necessary if baby has sensitive skin; for laundry detergent Arm and Hammer makes a mild soap for less--instead of the typical, super expensive "baby formulated" soap)

  1. Thanks for adding these, Marcella! I might also include:

-Swing (one that goes front and back and side to side to help with sleeping)
-Stroller of some kind. There are a million to choose from, but that is a good suggestion for the baby registry list.
    -High Chair
-Some toys like a play mat for early on, teething rings, books that you feel okay with babies putting in their mouths, rattles, etc.
